The moment the wheels of the aircraft slammed onto the ground the night before, I knew that I've just been brutally slammed back to the reality. Good bye to Hong Kong and back in Singapore.

Life's like that, isn't it? You can sum it all up in just three words --> It goes on. No matter how much you want to shunt away from it, what has to come will come. Very brutal but very true.

Anyway, I really had a great time with all CO peeps in Hong Kong. Thank you all who had made the trip a successful and memorable one. =)

How many times can you fall and end up sitting on your butt in the rain still having an umbrella in your hand? How many times can you wake up in the hotel room to see your friends right beside you? Or how many times can you walk into a Hong Kong cafe with a gang of people desperately trying to feed our hungry stomachs? And how many times can you share a huge bowl of curry fishballs with your friends on the streets?! HAHA! Not many times eh? I am grateful that I get to experience the various one- and -only times. These will be the memories I will keep dear to my heart.

Right, you must understand how I feel now. There are too many feelings which I find it hard to pen down. But I am really thankful for this chance, the experience and the love I felt from each and everyone of you =)

Pss!! Hope everyone will have another fruitful sememster!!!

Yiting and I celebrated Grace's Birthday at Sakura, Clementi Branch. Although luck wasn't on our side at all, I guess we still have to agree that we had quite a nice time together. It's amazing how quickly time flies, given the fact that we've been friends for almost a decade!!

This is going to be a super random post.

First of all... We've all received our expensive new toy! Thought we'll get to have a go at it yesterday... We didn't in the end, but it's alright. =)

Umbrellas at the PT corridor!! I have never really seen anything quite like the doggy brolly... But's it's so cute. I think it'll be a head turner on the streets. At least, it turned my head.

It's Zinal's last day working as a Lab tech yesterday... Goodness!! I think we'll missed him lots. Someone actually suggested that he's overworked and underpaid. It's Sunday! (Technically speaking, it's Monday already, cos' it has past midnight!)
Isobel, Rachael, Suyee, Wenshan, Dudu and I went to Sentosa to recce all the places we want for next week's Orientation with the year ones. As usual, it's going to be some sort of the Amazing Race... I would say that it's quite a fair bit to cover on feet. Hopefully, they will fully utilise the Tram services on that day, eh?

okWe had dinner at this Korean resturant... I can't really remember it's name, it's some Mario something something. Anyway, the meal was great! Especially for all who had worked their hearts out for club crawl, a well deserved meal for all of you right? =) Anyway, the boss of that resturant is an Indian (I think), who has a Korean wife. And it was so amazed to hear him speak Korean! heh heh heh

After which we went to IceMonster for dessert. We had the "liu mang" ice (durian & Mango) which sounds like hooligan in Mandarin.

Today's the 16th of April!
Exactly one year ago, many different people from different lands; sailed across the ocean, scaled the high mountains just to come to NANYANG polytechnic...
And these people come together and call themselves PT0701.
I can vaguely remember what I was doing on the first day of school last year. But I remembered that our first lesson was Anatomy. Shiying and I were late and we had to knock the door so that Dr Uma could let us into the classroom where there were many unfamiliar faces. Basically, I was like a lost duckling on the first day of school.
It took us some time to mingle and get used to each other. Then, some went overseas, some came and go, so left, and finally we're who we are today!

What shall I say about the first day of school?

Hmm...

First of all, I'm really happy to see all my friends back at school. We spent like hours catching up with each others and sharing our experiences of our placements with each other. Thought I can get a glimpse at those year one students though... But no such luck! Somehow, my mind drifted to the scene of the year ones having UL pract. How are those mature students going to handle it? Especially the 51 year old prof. Gosh!

I shall say we have many new modules to handle, and CP is certainly the most intimidating one! Both the subject and teacher. =s Just have to mug our way through, don't we?

Oh! There was a huge downpour at the end of the day! WooHOo~!

2. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug. The teachers said you must brush each side 10 times too.
3. You know what SBC stands for.
4. You pay 40 cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class.
5. You watch a very popular Malay dubbed Japanese drama on RTM1 about schoolgirls who possess powerful skills in volleyball called Meoro Attack.
6. You find your friends with pagers handphone cool in Secondary school.

30. In Primary six you had to play buddy for the younger kids like big sister and brother.
31. We wear BM2000, BATA, or Pallas shoes.
32. Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English.
33. The worksheets were made of brown rough paper of poor quality.
34. You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained, and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet, and wear your dry and warm socks and shoes.
35. School dismissal time was normally around 1 pm.
36. There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday.
37. Your friends considered you lucky and rich if your parents gave you $3 or more for pocket money everyday.

It's Just Crap

I remember having an Innova Junior College Orientation shirt with the words It's Just Cool written by the side... And I thought to myself... Perhaps everything will turn out well...
And here we are in the second year in IJC which supposedly should stand for It's Just Cool, isn't cool at all. I have been the pioneer batch for my primary school, the third batch for my secondary school and again, the pioneer batch for my junior college. However, the system of the schools I have been in have never been like the sucky system I am in now.
Then, one day I saw something someone wrote on the lecture table. It's Just Crap. So it seems like I am not the only one who has such negative sentiments towards this college. Actually I wrote all these after reading Meiting's blog... Somehow I feel that there are many many many conspiracies going on in IJC.
Teachers have been contradictory as well... Almost everyday, during tutorials or lectures you'll find them chastising students about not doing well so on and so forth. Following that, you'll hear them saying YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO WELL FOR A LEVELS, YOU CANNOT MAKE IT, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY ON THE EXAM FEES. Next up, on the stage during teachers' day celebration, you'll hear them telling you this touching message about believing that each and everyone will succeed. Thank you so much for the emotional roller coaster! Besides that, although not all, but I feel that most of the teachers' efforts for their students to excel is not a responsibility or for the betterment of their students. Rather, it is a mission to appear to be more capable in front of their colleagues. Office politics are now affecting students? I don't know. Maybe I have been contradicting myself as well... Here I am complaining, but there I was writing thank you messages for teachers on teachers' day. I am not finding an excuse for myself, but I thank my teachers for being a knowledgable person who happens to appear in our tutorials or lecture, not a teacher. I know some of you have put in lots of efforts, and I am sorry it's not paying off like mine. Just like what I had discussed with Zhen Ting before, I have been my own teachers these two years, if not my friends. Because a knowleadgable person does not neccessary means a good teacher. I hope you guys get what I mean.
I mean it when I say if I were given one more chance, one more choice, coming to IJC will never be in the list. And I am sure that I am not the only one who think so. However, I know it's very wrong to keep looking back. Since I have taken this route in the first place, I should and must continue on no matter what. No matter how my A levels results will turn out to be, I do not want to find myself at the end of the race thinking that I have let myself or my mum down. I will and must give it my best shot, because even if I can't make it, I know that it was the best I could give.
So, let's work hard for the next one and a half months. Not in the name of our college, but in the name of living up to our own lives.

Some condensed time table we have.... Isn't it the same? I think the school thinks that it is help us by giving the new time table a euphemistic term.... "Condensed", when lessons are added here and there.... It makes the system messy... Then Thursday is supposedly maths consulting day... I really dread the essay... I have insufficient points to talk about! Life has never been so demoralising.......
A PhD from NTU, NIE came to gave us a talk during PCCG today... It was interesting.... The first impression she gave me was not very overwhelming. I thought it was another crappy idea of some teacher for her to be here.... I was wrong... It was interesting listening to the mistakes Singaporeans made subconsciously while speaking... Learnt some useful ways to pronounce tricky words such as "pull" and "pool"; "peel" and pill"; "caught" and "cot"; "pat" and "pet" etc. And we have heard the accent that is coming up in British youths. HORRIBLE. Although the Singaporean did not really sound that proper, it was easy to make out what he was trying to say... The British however was like gargling non-stop.... Mei Ting concluded that British likes to clear their throat for phlegm and gargle too.... yeah! The only good thing that happened today...

In view of the success compared to Malaysia, I guessed we must all salute him! Enough of all those... Oh, this is the last year the stadium is serving us. That's because it's time for a new one to take its place... So... BYE BYE STADIUM!

Heh heh... This is the largest chocolate bar is saw in Plaza Singapura.... I wasn't able to take the top view if it... But there's this huge "kit kat" word on it... Really awed by it.. And when I walked near enough, I swear I caught some whiff of chocolate fragrant... heh heh... Then, I can't help picturing myself soaking in the largest chocolate bar... haha...

On top of that, this is one more good reason for me to change my bloody phone... Look at the shit my lousy phone took... Haha...

Oh... I felt that Mdm Lim had given us one of the best GP lesson ever, even though I almost fell asleep in the midst of it.... heh heh... She showed us a video on the baby market... Where parents in America buy eggs from egg donors who supposedly have good genes, features, character and brains... Frankly, I could not stomach that idea... It's too immoral... Hmm... And everyone in the video makes it seems so right... Especially the one with some freaky curly hair... Sometimes I just wonder, what is the use having some pretty faces?! They may be 'perfect' but the irony is, this clearly shows how imperfect man are.

But we went on cursing her whole family, saying her child will pass the disease down to everyone in the family and lastly her husband, who probably will NEED to see her face just to recover... Oh, Prelim Exam I is over.... I think we'll have to work continuously towards Prelim Exam II and finally.... THE GCE "A" LEVEL EXAMINATION... There are 120 days to it, and exactly 17 weekends.... Just bring it on man... I want to get this done and over with no matter how prepared or unprepared am I... I just cannot stand life now... Imagine IF I get into the U, I think it might be worst.... I think U life is as stressful, even though many people said once you manage to survive through the As, U will be a breeze....
I am damn sleepy now... But I'm refraining myself from taking a nap in case I have to count those sheep at night... Somehow, Mr SHEEP had accompanied me in those sleepless night, thanks man! (You were of great help).
THIS THURSDAY, 6 July THURSDAY (heh heh sounds familar?), lessons shall go according to Monday's timetable... Which is torturous for us... The longest day with old hag and PE... PE is okay for me, at least I get to move about... But height and weight is not... especially when your effective weight gain is increasing, which means the increase in weight gain outweighs the increase in height effect... Sadly, since we are almost completely grown, increase in height effect remains effective constant...

There are a plethora critics about blogging in the media nowadays... And my mum keep asking me if I have a blog myself... Of course I told her I don't have one... If yes... I think there will be a broken recorder nagging again... saying it's dangerous to blog whatsoever.... heh heh...
Oh... SOME PEOPLE think that they are the saddest creature on earth... and SOME PEOPLE think that the whole world has turn against her... SOME PEOPLE think that the human nature is ugly.... I AGREE TO THE LAST ONE THOUGH... And I daresay that I am a ugly human being... Although I seek for perfection, I know that it is impossible for anyone to be perfect... near perfect perhaps... but NEVER perfect... Then that leaves me to say that we can say that we are perfect and other human beings are the ugly ones hurting us! That doesn't make sense at all! If you are so GREAT to have notice the flaws in human nature.... why can't you just think about your own flaws before pushing the blame to others?! Then, what perfect person are you!?
I truly believe that all relationships are built on trust, and feeling through one's heart.... Not asking or requiring others to go with your wills. Any action against your liking will be a violation, a felony that cannot be forgiven.... Then, is there a freedom of thoughts or speech?! That kind of relationship is compiling to avoid more problems... What then, will one think if the other party keep questioning about the viability of this relationship, doubting the future, doubting others, and not using your heart to FEEL... This is not an exam question which requires thinking... Sometimes, towards relationships... It's how you FEEL.... Little things or words need to be done or said to feel the greatest impact... We shall not also measure how much to give others according to how much they have contributed... Giving is an art and it is influential.... Giving is a wisdom which enable people to see more, learn more.... Give and do not expect anything in return.... So when there's no return, you won't feel as sad and yet learn the art of giving... but when you receive something in return, you know that you have touch someone and together, greater things can be achieved!

I went for my dental appointment today... Heh heh... I was really nervous at first man... Coz I really have no idea what he will do... OMG... I was so afraid that he will break my tooth while adding "some pressure" on it... And it was less than 5 minutes before I was out of the room... Uncle and Aunty were so shocked! Haha!! Before I went out, he said that I did a good job in cleaning my teeth... Keep it up!!!!!! SO HAPPY!!!!!!! yeah yeah... At least my 30 minutes per day hard work did not go down the drain.... oh... And he did mentioned that if everything goes smoothly, I wouldn't even need to go for an operation! yeah! money saved!
Everything was pleasant besides the small bowl of fried Hokkien Mee which really shocked me... After that, it was the WEATHER in Sentosa... What a great SUNNY day.... We had to hide in a shelter and entertain ourselves with sand..... We decided to play near the shore until a tiny bit of sunshine peek through the clouds.......
Then we waited for the pink dolphins to hit the ball ( they never did) and eat fried rice specially prepared by aunty's mama.... nice...
When we came out of showering, it was pouring outside... what a day... So we went to take the tram... and along the way we saw new things Sentosa had offered or is going to offer.... Then this huge dog came out... I wanted to touch it.. but just afraid that it's owner will mind... And they wasn't even suppose to bring the dog up... the dog sniffed my hands though... so fun... and aunty was there, frantically and practially lying on me and uncle... haha.... it's ok man.. just a dog...
Then we feast at Northpoint... the yummy Japanese cuisine... hehheh... That's all folks!

Went back to school for Chem test today... DISASTROUS.... I didn't know how to do the whole of Biochemistry... Guess I really lack the practice..... ARRGH.... So sleepy now... Slept at bout 2 yesterday? haha
After lunch when me and aunty headed home via 858, the bus uncle was SHO FUNNY!!!!!!!! He drove the wrong way... Instead of taking the 858 route, he took the 969 route... and while he was half way towards the wrong bus stop... He slowed down and hit his head... Then he took a U turn back... This is the first time something like this have ever happened to my bus trip... He was quite embarrassed too though... Explaining that it was his first time driving 858 after a long time..
No one blames you uncle... *wink*
I HAVE TO GO FOR FLAG DAY TOMORROW...I am trying to accept the sad fact...It's just that I am a bit unwilling to go because I can be excused from it if I didn't went to sign up for it... Sounds ironical.. Oh well... Life still goes on.....................

The YJC Concert...

Heh heh... It was nice to be back at YJ to look at the place and the people whom made life interesting for me in the first three months of last year... I think uncle and I also had a great time shouting Cheng Kok's name... And Sylvester.. who conducted the guitar ensemble, college band and YJCO for Canon in D.. The show was nice and pleasant... However, sad to say, it wasn't that fantastic to really make an impact in me... Somehow at some point, I was waiting for the performance to end so that I can go home... haha... They had changed a CO instructor and compared to IJCO, there is more people in theirs... Somehow I was quite envious... If only IJCO had that many people, I think we will sound fantastic with Mandala and Matsuri... :)
Last Friday was the last time the J2s are going to perform, for at least a few months.. It's quite sad lar... I have been looking forward to this day, but it didn't felt like the last day at all.. And our performance was not as good as usual... On top of that, I think the worms around should have enjoyed it anyway... It's sad that they don't have hands to clap....

Da Vinci Code

Da Vinci Code is nice!!
It's fascinating to see the book that you have read being portrayed in a movie... This is different from Harry Potter certainly. It's about many complex things, yeh know? heh heh... We went to THE CATHAY CINEPLEX near PS... Damn cool I tell you... Go get yourself a good treat over there. It felt like we were in some auditorium or some grand theatre for musicals... The chairs were comfy too... So much so that uncle felt like sleeping... heh heh... Real good man...There is even red curtain covering the huge screen.... WOW...oh they even have ushers with cute little red bow ties around to help you out... Wonderful..
I like they way they made the book into a movie, with the albino painful self-torturing acts, and Robert Langdon's wits... There were some humour entwined to it as well... One complain, they changed the password to the cryptex from the meaningful SOPHIE to APPLE... because it was about Sir Isaac Newton the knight with the missing orb... The also found two great lead actors, couldn't think of anyone who would do a greater job than them.... And Oh, they changed the way the 'teacher' reveal himself... I like the book's way of it more, because it once again proved Langdon's intellegence..
I really feel like watching it again... I don't know why... It's not that it's so nice that I will die not watching it again, just felt like it...
I wonder if they would ever film Angels and Demons... Personally, I like it more than Da Vinci Code... Angels and Demons is also about getting clues here and there, and if possible prevent the death of 4 potential Pope-to-be.... The story also includes Robert Langdon... In fact, Langdon went on the Angels and Demons trail before he went on to crack Da Vinci's code... OOHhh!! By hook or by crook, I must read the two books again... I wasn't that attracted to Dan Brown's other books though, they just didn't appeal to me. But Angels and Demons and the Dan Vinci Code is a must read.... Do not be contented by the movie... It is not enough... really go read the book if you have time... Read the plot, the contents... And finally it's up to you if you believe Dan Brown's claims or not... A pleasure to read... :)

There are certain things which you can look at your friends' work because those are probably subject which are dead and there's only one way to do it.... There are also some things which one must crack their brains or have to draw from their general knowledge to answer certain question. (for your information, that is why it's called general paper...) Just to let you know, smelly, I put in my own effort for my own work, and I am proud of it, even if the old hag doesn't appreciate it. AND I JUST DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF HAVING SOMEONE GRASP ALL MY IDEAS AND MAKE IT THEIRS. THE THING THAT IS MOST FRUSTRATING IS THAT YOU KEEP RE-PHRASING IT AND ASKING MY DAMN OPINION ABOUT IT AS IF YOU CAME UP WITH IT YOURSELF!!!!!!! after that you still have got the stupid SMELLY cheek to ask me why I am suddenly so angry/moody...
I don't get it... Just believe in yourself man... If you can't even trust what you write how are you going into the exam hall to do your paper... I know you aspire to be a rich tai tai... But please... even so, be a tai tai with QUALITY... Come to think of it, most people who aspire to be a tai tai doesn't have the quality at all..

hmm... Finally got my teeth fixed at "Just Braces"...Got to skip school... heh heh
Closing my mouthing is a chore now so is smiling... I wonder why the doc placed two brackets at the lower teeth without the braces.. maybe he needs it later....What's more, I can't chew properly...only my upper and lower right teeth can meet each other... the left is biting air... Porridge is my main source of energy now... haha... sounds weird but yeah... I think I am just not very used to it... Hopefully, when I am used to it, I can take more solid food.... ARRGH!
Oh yar... and flossing is like... WOW... it is worst than the PE we have had at the starting of the year... but still have to floss lar.... It's hard to maintain oral hygiene with braces on, guess I just have to do it no matter what............................................ OOH... Karen had the "privilege" to be the first to take a photo with me after fixing the braces... yeah manz!!!!!!!!!

I know that the average of IJC is band 3... But given the comments by the teachers, I thought at least I can scrap through to get a 2. And yep, there it goes... BAND 3. NUMB... I AM REALLY NUMB ALREADY...
Life is tough enough... Having a misty future, or rather no future at all... and now... BAND 3 FOR PW! ok... Some may say it's only PW... But it's important if you wanna get into a local U... I doubt I have the money for overseas U... Glad that some of my friends got 2 though... haiz........

WOW!! There are lots and lots of April babies... Heh Heh... And I am one of them... yeah man...
By the way, Mei Ting, Zhen Ting and me went off to shop for Amin and Feng Ru's Birthday present. It was damn tough man!! And we spent lots of time looking for the right gifts. Thought of buying them something because they have always shower us with sweet gifts... Haha... Anyway, we settled with the fishing game for Feng Ru, because she seems very happy when Ms Fong brought it to class last time.... Also, we wanted a gift that will surprise her, and hopefully ours do really shocked her! heh heh As for Amin, we bought him a small injured cat. Haha... He adores cats! And he always help those injured cats in need... Suit him man! Simple but we surely hope that they like it man... heh heh...

For months... MONTHS!!!!! Since the starting of the year till today, we have been praying for it to rain on Monday evenings so that we can skip the torturing PE sessions.. Especially when you know that there will be intervals during PE...... and for MONTHS!! MONTHS!! It rained the entire day for some of the Mondays... Be it drizzle, shower, rain or even thunderstorm. However, without fail, the scorching sun will come slapping our face!!! WHAT A MOCKERY! Finally, after 4 long months, the long awaited NAPFA had arrived on this faithful day. Many people, especially the girls, really REALLY look forward to this day. After this NAPFA, we are not only entitled to games, for the girls, IT ALSO MEANS THE LAST NAPFA WE ARE GOING TO TAKE FOR OUR ENTIRE LIFE! yeah man.... But the weather played tricks with us again. What happen!? The sun wan so damn scorching bright the entire day... And what happened when we went for PE?! It was raining cats and dogs... SHIT MAN!!! For the entire day, I thought I will be able to get over with the 2.4 km run and lax a bit for the 5 stations on Wednesday... AND IT RAINED! Thanks arr..
ok enough for the weather... Ms Tan May May nagged again.... Haiz.. What's is wrong with her? Is it solely our fault for such sucky results?! Seriously... SIGH!!! Aunty Huang Xiao Ying told me about Ms Tay's way of teaching... Which appeals to me. I don't know, maybe the grass looks greener on the other side... I just need a teacher to teach me how to get the answer, and not just provide me with the answers and nag when I couldn't...... MS TAN, YOUR PATIENCE HAS A LIMIT... SO IS OURS!! I think there is no mutual interactions going on.. And when we are listening, she says that we are not... Hmmm....
The future has never been as misty as it is now... I really see NOTHING.... I feel like quiting as much as I want to push myself further... SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!! I do not want to bluff myself, but HOPEFULLY 船到桥头自然直！！！

Innovians had our 2nd anual Cross Country at McRitchie today.... It was overall a pleasant day... Besides the fact that I over slept, had to stand throughout the bus ride to McRitchie while controlling my bowels, was in the sun most of the time (those 'guys' are ALL in the tent under the shade), MOCKED by a girl from RASALAS, missed tons of bus until we finally got the right one, walked the whole of J8 without resting and most importantly, found out a shocking news about one of the artiste I (used to) like a lot!!!!!!!
Oh.... about the RASALAS girl... here goes... everyone who ran the 3.2 km route will know that before you head towards the pathway beside the high way, you will have to conquer this super steep part of mud.. haha I'm being a little exagerated... Then, I heard a girl from behind saying, "ah, very tired! everyone is walking up this steep slope!" So, I turned back and smile at her, to encourage and in a manner, I agreed with what she said too... Then, we walked beside me, look at the green ribbon tied on my wrist, and said "you saggi? (taps me on the shoulder) walk slowly hor!" and her friend beside her was like "haha! you so bad!" HELLO!!!!!! WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME SHITTY SITUATION RIGHT?! I seriously think that there are no sense of sportsmanship... So what if I am in Saggi? Does that mean that I shouldn't have smiled at her because she is from RASALAS!? I seriously don't understand that... ANYWAY, RASALAS CAME IN LAST AND SAGGI IS THE FIRST!!!!!!! WHY SAGGI SO PRO~~~ WHY SAGGI SO PRO~~~ WHY SAGGI SO PRO~~~ (sorry uncle, it doesn't apply to you, so you don't have to feel so sad)
Oh... And we went shopping for Eunice's Birthday present. It was quite a chore, because we don't really what she likes now, and what she really needs. I think it will be no use giving her a pillow or soft toy... Btw, her mum band soft toys... And we didn't know where the shops were, so we ended up walking HUGE HUGE rounds... haha.. anyway, quite glad to get myself something, and also Eunice a leather bag... Maybe and hopefully she can use it when she goes out or goes to the Church. *wink wink*
Hmm! Oh yar... Today, uncle and aunty told me that Mark Feehily of Westlife is a GAY!!!!! omg!! I really cannot accept this... Out of the 4 remaining in Westlife, I like him the BEST!! However, he turns out to be a gay.. It's not that I am discriminating against gays, but I didn't see that coming... He looks straight to me... I think I will have to accept that, since being gay or not does not affect how good they sing... haha... It's about the singing and the rest is their personal life... heh heh... Ok, gtg.. Heh heh... Mr Lee Wung Yew represented Singapore in the Commonwealth Games held in Melborne... But sadly, I think he will have to come home empty handed. Ok, enough of him. I just saw the news and got to know that SINGAPORE WON THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD FOR THE MIXED DOUBLES TABLE TENNIS!!! Just imagine it man.... Three Singapore flags rising... I think it was the proudest moment for all the Singaporeans present. However, if you observed carefully, I think there are only two Singaporeans standing there. The rest are out-standing sportsmen and women from other country. Don't get me wrong. It's not that I'm discriminating against them, but I think we will be happier if true Singaporeans were to standing at the champion's position.
Hmm... It's kind of hard to explain... Sometimes I feel that the Singapore government is trying to 'buy' the medals by forking out large amount of money for foreign talents to come 'help' us in our weaker area. Yes, they are Singapore citizens now, but it's just not the same... Or am I too narrow-minded? Anyway, really proud!
The female top 3 for female singles goes to Singapore as well!! yeah!! Zhang Xue Ling and Li Jia Wei were in the finals together. I thought Li Jia Wei will be able to win the Gold medal though. However, even though she lost, I do not think she lacks the skills. I think the only thing that really got her was her attitude... I think she was really pissed off, and gave up mentally halfway through the match. Heh heh...
And Mr Lee is back in school today! haha... I don't think those under him for PE are as excited as me... Especially Shiying... yeah man... But it's good to have him back!

Huo Yuan Jia is so damn nice... went out on a date with Zhen Ting yesterday for it..... REALLY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still can't get the damn show out of my mind... I will regret if I die without watching it man... But then again, I wouldn't know what a good show I've missed if I have never watch it.. ah... Getting complicated... haha....
Jet Li is so funny in the show.. Not that the show is meant to be funny or what, but just imagine some old uncle playing with a little girl (his daugher in the show)... haha... And he is such a damn good actor.... Acting is really an art man, and his acting together with his martial arts thingie really produce one good movie... Haha.. And what's more, it's a sad ending... I LOVE sad endings... heh heh... On top of that, it was my first time seenig blood splurting out from someone's throat!! Cool Man!! YEAH!!! And I thought it was a rather meaningful kung fu show... One which will be Jet Li's last debut, and the content of the movie itself... Heh Heh...
Oh... I am getting damn pissed off with people now... Nonetheless, I shall not be mean... I know that is how she is, and I wouldn't have that power to transform her totally, as if she will be willing to be transformed, but I just couldn't give a damn now... What I do now is to ignore what I don't like about her, but when u start treating someone so badly for so long, which is not totally his/her fault, you would feel guilty as well don't you? Hence, a vicious cycle is formed... I treat her well for a few hours, and then mean again after she irritates me again... And she likes to get attention out from me/us. Perhaps we didn't really pay much attention to her which is true too... But her way of attention seeking is so......................................... idiotic? and instead of ATTRACTING attention, she is indirectly BUFFERING them away... AAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. And if you are good, just admit it man. What's the point of telling people you can't do it, and do it well in the end?! What are you trying to proof? That you are superb!? We'll all know, and we'll all be happy for you if you wouldn't have such a sucky personality okay!?!?!?!? Time and time you do it, time and time you IRRITATE us!!!!!!!!!!! Just be normal, don't go the extra miles for unneccessary stuffs, because before you know it, what you overdo may be the thing that bring about your own downfall. Oh, and one last thing, STOP COMPARING!!!! What's the point? Are you a better person if you score better than others? Sigh... Happy Chinese New Year to all!
Hmm... Somehow this year's Chinese New Year is so dull and quiet... Everything has become so systematic. As in, people visit each other for the sake of it... Visited my cousin's terrace at Lorong Chuan. Real impressed. With the house and him. He is only 33, yet he can afford such a livestyle. 3 stories, 3 Arowanas, 2 Kitchens, 2 fridges, 2 cars, 2 retired parents, 1 part time maid, and 1 terrace fully air-conditioned. How much does he earn each month man!?! A million?! It's good to have such a house and enjoy life, but that does not make you any special or superior to your family members. He was rather proud hmm... But who cares... He doesn't talk to me, I do not talk to him. I was at his place the entire day and we didn't look each other in the eye, let alone our new year wishes for each other. However, from what I see, he doesn't really need everybody's wishes.
I was practically hiding in the kitchen the entire day. I just didn't feel like entertaining people. They don't know me, and I don't know them. Whatsmore, what can they ask? How's ur studies? Enough of that sort of questions thank you very much. That was the first day of CNY.
Yesterday (sec day of CNY) I went out with my aunty and my FAVOURITE nephew.... OOH. How adorable (my foot!)... We went to the river ang bao so that my nephew can play the games. Mum's youngest brother invited us all. But because of my aunty, we ended up there at 8 plus. Frankly, I felt so guilty. Because, I know they had prepared lots of food for us, and have most probably been waiting for us since morning. And we ended up at their doorstep at what time!? 8 plus. They were gracious enough to smile at us. If someone does that to me. That's it. Bernice's dao face will come out for the entire time. Sorry!
Today, my mum and I were planning to sleep late one last time before we head off to work again. BUT!!! My uncle, who just came back to Singapore from Australia, called us early in the morning. 8.30. Just to have breakfast with us. WOW. We (without my uncle, thank goodness) still got to catch the I Not Stupid Too at 12.30... It was alright. Very typical Jack Neo film. Heh heh.
And now... Homework again... work work work... And what do I get first thing in the morning tomorrow?! PE!! How nice!! 8 wonderful rounds!! Marvellous!

Today's rehearsals is a pain in my ass man... Waited for so long, wasted so much time... However all the cute and smart J2s made use of the time to take lots of photos of our retarded selves. HAHA~! It was fun though... yeah!! The J1s are more friendly, especially Shu Zheng, and polite... Caught me by surprise man... And I was shocked all the way from school to causeway by the CO peeps... haha... I think they thoroughly enjoy that process of scaring me. I really have a weak heart man!
Mdm Lim is not in school today! Yeah...!! Ms Cheong Mui Mui came in to tell us that she has a medical appointment blah blah. I think she is on this medical appointment to teach her how to ... Don't mean to be evil... But... She pisses me off... She hates me and I hate her- THAT'S THE MESSAGE.
P.E. was still as tedious... 8 rounds can be nothing for you, but I think I ran my ass out for it... It was not as tedious as last week's though and I improved by 1 plus min!!!!!!! yeah... cheer!!! clap!!
Hamin was getting on my nerves, but oh well, he's just doing his job as a P.E. teacher.

Nothing is fair, seriously...
GP has really been an eye opener even though I dun really like my tutor... Such a sexist. She loves guys more than girls. Hmm... Whatever...
Ok...Back to the main topic. This is the third week of the year...However, it feels like 3 months. No matter how intimidating it is, LIFE STILL GOES ON! And we've been doing poverty for GP now. Zhen Ting was telling me today, people in the Third World Country are running about snatching for food so that they can survive. However, what we are doing is running about so that we can lose weight. Life is so ironical man... But who can help it? It's undeniably sad, but if every country were to be so strong, there will not be any good or bad... Perhaps then no progress will be made at all. Then again, it means that different people at different standards of living faces different difficulties. ok... sounds so common sensical....
There are corrupted world class organisations out there but yet there are nobody who are willing to stand up and put a stop to it. I just feel so sorry for those who accepted aid, but was used incorrectly. Then what is the use of aiding those Third World Countries. Obviously there is something wrong with the government system of such countries but why is there nothing done accept throwing in more money for the corrupted government?! Problem will not be solved. What's the use?! Everyone can fork out every single cent they have, but if used incorrectly, it's the same as throwing a bunch of money down the drain.
P.E. really sux. I think that's because it has been a long time ever since I ran such a long distance. I was not able to take it at first, but gradually starts to face the painful reality. Heh Heh... Trust me manz... The track is never ending!! Got Daniel Lee for P.E. today. Real educational. I think he's most prob a Cantonese, coz he said some Canton during lesson... Haha.. Damn funny and short. I'm even taller then him! I wonder if he has a wife.. If yes, will she be as mascular as him!? What about children? As tall? Ok... I'm getting mean. Anyway P.E. was not as tedious as the morning session, BUT I was so dizzy!! HAHA.. According to "Prof Lee" that's because one skipped a meal. What you have got to do... He is my mum's oldest brother and migrated to Australia, Perth long long time ago. Sad thing is, He's coming to MY HOUSE to stay, and SLEEPING IN MY ROOM!! sob... The Secret Garden

I'm currently reading The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I was interested in this book in the first place because I had this childhood memory of me, watching The Secret Garden on channel 5 with mum. Haha..
Anyway... I'm not even halfway through it... However, the book is still quite thought-provoking though.
Lesson learnt so far: Face everything with an open mind, even though it's not the norm. The unsual may be queer and caused one's insecurities, but we need to lost hold of the shore before we find a new one.
Yeah... PW is over, and everything this year is kind of over. What a hectic year. How fast time flies. Hear the music before it's over...

很多人都觉得自己是全世界最好的人。就算不是最好的，也理所当然会觉得自己做的事是对的，至少和别人比较起来是正确的。
本人认为自信心是一个人一定要具备的种种条件之一。可是，人们几时真正停下来想过，一个对自己过度有信心的人将会有如何的下场呢?
一个对自己太有信心的人会被自我给"蒙骗"。对自己太有信心的人会认为自己的能力是超越一般人的。在这种情况下，还有可能会去检讨别人对自己的意见吗? 很显然的，他不会。不被别人左右是件好事。但是，如果这些提议是有好处的，那为何不敞开胸膛聆听呢? 我们可能还能从中获得不同的看法，也有可能发现一些存在着的问题，然后从中做出调整。这样一来我们不只能够学到许多宝贵知识，也能使事物更加健全完美。不要应为自己博学多才，经验丰富就贬低其他人的意见。这世上不可能有完全的独角戏，千万不要被自我给"蒙骗"了才好。以免到最后吃亏的是自己。
再有，做人一定要认清自己。不要把自己想像成全世界最完美的人。不管你接受不接受，我们还是有血有肉的人，有着七情六欲，充满着喜怒哀乐。人，一定会犯错的。犯错不可怕，可怕的是犯了错没有悔改之心。更可怕的人是那些认为自己的所作所为永远是对得，一点问题也没用。太自爱的人是绝对不会把别人放在眼里的，更可恶的是当事情发生时，错得往往都是别人犯的，自己永远都是对的。
最后，如果要求别人重视与尊重我们，我们是否该先以礼待人呢? 如果你重视与尊重对方，很自然的，对方也会重视与尊重你。假设你一开始就盛气凌人，要求别人来迁就和了解你的话，对方会有怎样的想法呢? 处世代人之事最好要谦虚，而且不需要特别的理由，简简单单的，单单纯纯的。
人实在难做。是啊！人是难做。可是，我们不应该因为人难做而排斥它。人生活在这世界上一定会遇到许多问题，我们怎样都不可乱了正交，要勇敢面对。人们往往会觉得自己的问题是最大的，在这种情况下，我们都会忘了自己是多么幸福，身边有许多爱着我们的人。做人不要失望的话，最好就是不要有太大的期望，平平静静地过一生。因为，期望越大失望越大。我们要明白是你的就是你的，不是你的就不是你的。可能你会觉得这样是在浪费人生，但是如果成天想得到些东西可是是怎么样都得不到那不止浪费人生，而且还使自己伤心。平静的过活吧朋友，你可能会应此获得意想不到的惊喜。不求回报，只求造福人群。他们的笑容会使你付出的一切给化为虚有，一切都会是值得的。。。

国庆烟花进如组屋区

国庆日烟花将首次在组屋邻里燃放，让国庆庆典的气氛更深入民间、更贴近民众。
　　当晚8时，无论是政府大厦草场、滨海南嘉年华会、裕廊东、义顺或淡滨尼，它们的夜空将同时被璀璨的烟花点缀照亮长约4分钟。
　　这将是历来在国庆日燃放最多烟花的一年。据知，燃放总数会比去年多出三倍。
　　负责今年庆典烟花的吴宝利中校说，虽然首次把烟花引进社区，但三个邻里的烟花演出将不会比政府大厦草场的逊色，而是各有各的精彩。
　　他说，政府大厦夜空将绽放20多种不同的高空烟花造型，其中9种是新花样。至于社区的烟花，将以中高空烟花为主角，并隔着一条街引爆燃放。
　　他解释，在组屋区燃放烟花有空间局限，燃放高空或低空烟花有困难，因此中高空程烟花的精彩留给到三个社区庆祝国庆的国人。
他说：“在社区欣赏烟花的人，距离燃放点只有80到100公尺，更能感受烟花的冲击。”
　　从类似音乐喷泉舞动的蓝绿烟花，到银线变化的彩色花球，相信能把现场气氛推向高潮。
　　至于到政府大厦草场参与庆典的公众，更要留意9种新烟花造型编制出的独特效果。
　　光圈内闪动的星星、盛开的雪莲、亮晶晶的流星雨、最终爆开的游动“银鱼”等，这些高空烟花会让人兴奋难忘。
　　加上观众席的中高烟花和舞台周围的低空烟花，整场烟花秀将把庆典上的观众兴奋气氛推向高潮。
　　吴宝利说，高空烟花从停泊新加坡河的平底船上燃放，离政府大厦草场约600公尺，不会构成安全问题。他说，所有烟花来自欧美和中国。
　　虽然烟花演出规模壮大，但主办单位找到更多赞助商，因此演出预算不会增加。
　　昨晚，义顺国庆庆典筹备委员会提前将义顺巴士转换站旁边草场布置成野餐场地，并燃放中高空烟花，让居民率先感染国庆的欢愉气氛。
　　约有40名居民受邀出席这场小规模烟花示范，在燃放点80公尺外观赏两分多钟的烟花表演。
　　尽管灰蒙蒙的天空下着小雨，却遮盖不了绚丽夺目烟花发出的光芒。居民都对灿烂烟花呈现的景观赞叹不已。
　　洪秀丽（38岁，家庭主妇）说：“在组屋区燃放烟花真好，不用大老远跑到市区去看，很方便，孩子也看得很开心。”

读后感：
新加坡不是第一次在不同的组屋区举办国庆典礼了。可是就如报章所说的，这次的表演会比往年来得精彩夺目多了。理由很简单，因为这次还有长约四分钟的烟火表演！
相信对许多人来说，在组屋区里能够看见演化表演时间令人又期待又兴奋。大家都知道不是没个人都有机会到国庆会上青眼目睹高潮迭起的节目演出。没那么幸运的人民只能在家里的电视旁感染一下国庆的气氛。但是经年就不一样了。就算你没被幸运地得到入门券，也能到各组屋区愁愁热闹。
我认为这样能使新加坡人民更团结起来。虽然大家都在不同的地点欢庆国庆，可是更多人民能够同时团结一心一起庆祝新加坡建国四十年。而且我们更能够借此机会与我们的家人同在一起，加强长辈与晚辈之间的凝聚力。
报章也提到了在组屋区里燃放烟火的不便。但是我认为大家还是会玩得不意了乎。更何况，有关当局一定会确保人民的安全。
我非常向往这次的演出，希望大家能够玩得开心点, 也希望这次的烟火表演会比往年来得更加精彩！

The story about the tiny frogs...

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs,...

… who arranged a running competition.
The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.
A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began...

Honestly:
No one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.
You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!!
They will NEVER make it to the top."
or:
"Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!"
The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one...
... Except for those who in a fresh tempo were climbing higher and higher...
The crowd continued to yell
"It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"
More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...
...But ONE continued higher and higher and higher...
This one wouldn’t give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who after a big effort was the only one who reached the top!
THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?
A contestant asked the tiny frog how the one who succeeded had found the strength to reach the goal?
It turned out...
That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is:
Never listen to other people’s tendencies to be
negative or pessimistic...
…cause they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you. The ones you have in your heart!

Always think of the power words have.
Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

Therefore:

ALWAYS be…
POSITIVE!

And above all:

Be DEAF when people tell YOU that YOU can not fulfil YOUR dreams!
Always think:
I can do this!

Since I am in a hurry, I shall just enter an English entry... Heh heh heh...
I went for the OP 2005 last Friday, held at the Victoria Concert Hall... Actually, I went there in hope for fantastic performance and for proof to convince myself 100%, without any doubts, that my secondary school, Orchid Park's band got GOLD WITH HONORS.
Seriously, I wasn't quite impress with them when I was back at OP, and I thought they deserved a COP from the previous SYF. Hence, I was very, very shocked and a little skeptical about them getting a GOLD WITH HONORS, this year. Can you imagine it?! From COP all the way to GOLD WITH HONORS. Actually, GOLD could have done the trick to surprised me, but with HONORS! Haa! I need proof, I told myself.
Coincidentally, I had a chance to witness them myself, which was OP 2005 on 8 July 2005. C'mon! CONVINCE ME!!
When I was there, we wait so long for the guest of honor, Dr. Lock Kai Sang ( I have no clue about who he is). And when he finally appeared, the band played our school song, and there we were, singing OP's school song in Victoria Concert Hall... That's nothing manz... What really shook me was the band... OMG!! Trust me, I have never heard our school song played like that... Was so proud of OPSS at that point of time! =>
There was a series of wonderful performances lined up for us, and I loved many of the pieces the OP Wind Orchestra had prepared for us. I particularly love the Swan Lake piece; gave me the feeling that there are hundreds of Ballerinas dancing before my very eyes.=>
Besides the beautiful music that still lingers in my ears till today, I enjoyed the way the OPWO's conductor, Mr Clarence Tan, had conducted. He seems to be enjoying himself, and I feel that he could fly if he had wings on at some parts!
The most memorable part was however, the joined performance by the Joaquim Chorale and the OPWO, "When You Believe" from the Prince of Egypt. I am impressed! I am so impressed! If only I could hear it one more time before I die... Haa...
I guessed OP had really done a extremely good job, and I can really see that Mr Low is so happy too. Eileen, Eunice and I had the chance to shake his hands outside Victoria Concert Hall, and I believe, that was the firmest handshake anyone in this entire world could have gave me...
I sincerely hope OP can continue to do well in no matter what they do...
